We had a wonderful day learning about seals and sea lions, and enjoyed a guided tour at the Marine Mammal Center. We spent time on the beach having lunch, and playing in the sunshine and sand. A special thank you to all our family volunteers! An educator from the Marine Mammal Center came to Mark Day School yesterday to engage the 1stgraders in a program called, “Seas to School”. There were 5 different stations set up for our 1stgraders to explore to help them learn about how sick or injured marine mammals are cared for at the center. It was a great hands-on experience supported by several members of our Mark Day School community. Special thanks Eva Geisse, Sophie Shulman, Leslie Garber, and Remi Zimmerman (along with our support teacher, Diana Gill) who took time out of their busy schedules to help us. It was a very interactive experience! Here are some highlights for the month:
